Thanks for stopping by to learn more about me!
I've been a designer for over 18 years - below is a brief overview of how I got here...
2003
I began designing on a clunky old PC - teaching myself from tutorials found online. I had always been a creator, from a young age, and finally, I found the perfect outlet.
I opened a shop on Etsy and created art for friends, and family. I started working as a freelancer.
Eventually, I hit a wall. I reached a point where I knew that I needed formal training to achieve my goals.
2012
I received a graphic design certification from the Baruch College Continuing and Professional Studies (CAPS) program. I began to learn the 'right' way to do things while maintaining my unique style and approach. This further ignited my ever-growing passion.
I started to play around with surface design on Spoonflower.
2017
I graduated with the highest honors from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh - Online Division. I desperately wanted to work with other creative professionals.
2018
My husband and I moved to Florida for his military career. Here, I became a graphic designer for Florida's largest, longest-standing community oncology practice, Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute (FCS), the non-profit organization Florida Cancer Specialists Foundation, and American Oncology Network.
I was gaining valuable knowledge about balancing the production of quality design work while professionally engaging with corporate stakeholders - a much different world than the freelance clientele I had previously served.
2021
We moved to New York and my husband retired from the United States Coast Guard. I was promoted to Design & Creative Services Manager. Managing complex projects with other designers, my fellow marketing department team members, executives, physicians, and various external stakeholders while continuing to producing my own design work for the company. My growth and confidence as a designer and a leader flourished.
2024
I'm excited to take what I've learned over the past 18+ years somewhere new. My goal is to become a part of a team of dedicated people in a welcoming environment focused on teamwork, constant learning, growing, problem-solving, innovation, and delivering the best result.
